Readiness Programme
Who is it for?
Portfolio companies that require support in maximising
their chances of finding external finance and have a realistic
chance of reaching investment readiness within six months.
What is the client benefit?
A focussed and intensive investment readiness programme,
lasting six months or less, depending on the investment
readiness status of the company at the start of the process
and speed to implement action plans.
How does it work?
This programme will be available for Portfolio companies
referred to Finance South East by Hub Directors and will
involve:
- An initial written assessment of the business plan,
a copy of which will be provided by the Hub Director
for information.
- Initial meeting(s) with the client (and the Hub Director
as appropriate) to provide feedback from the assessment
and discuss any new developments (since the plan was
written), identify any issues and discuss funding issues.
- Action plan setting out the actions identified to
achieve investment readiness and a proposed timescale
to undertake these of no more than six months.
- Regular co-ordination between FSE and the Hub Director
to check against the plan and further meetings as required.
- Presentation of the proposition to an expert panel
(after no more than 6 months of the programme) that
will include representatives from FSE, Enterprise Hub
Directors, angel investors and//or sector experts as
appropriate. The panel will provide feedback on the
proposition at the time and through a written report
that will state whether the panel believe the proposition
is fundable and investment ready. Meetings with individual
clients at FSE as required.
- 'Graduation' from the programme after the programme
to the panel and an investment readiness certificate.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge for up to 30 companies to go through
the investment readiness programme.
Please note the fund finder service is not included in
the Hubs contract with FSE. Once a company is investment
ready, it is free to contract with any service provider
for assistance in accessing fund. Should the company wish
to contract with FSE, they will be charged the normal
fee, which is currently £350 +VAT plus a 3% success
fee.
